Hi everyone! Most people call me Suz for short. I grew up in West Chester, PA, where I attended Villa Maria Academy from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Following high school, I attended Bucknell University and earned a degree in business administration. I also studied abroad for a semester in Florence, Italy. It was an incredible opportunity and I will never forget the thrill of experiencing a new culture. I’m lucky to still have close ties to the University and am currently the President of the Bucknell Alumni Club of Philadelphia. Upon graduating in 2012, I began my career at Philadelphia magazine where I worked for 5+ years gaining experience in print, digital, and event marketing. I am excited to have joined Graham Media Partners and enjoy working with this amazing team!
Do you have any hobbies?
One of my favorite “hobbies” is spending time with my friends and family. Nothing beats the pleasure of great company. During the summer, I like to be outside—playing tennis, golfing, or catching rays at the Jersey Shore. I also enjoy traveling and trying new foods. Favorite restaurants of mine include: Zahav (for the different but delicious tasting menu), Four Dogs Tavern (for the comfort food and dog watching scene), and Limoncello’s in downtown West Chester (for the amazing Italian cuisine).
What plans do you have for the rest of the summer?
It’s crazy how fast summer is flying by, but I have an upcoming vacation that I’m really looking forward to: my cousin’s wedding coupled with a week-long family reunion in Utah. I’ve traveled out west to ski before, but I’ve never visited Utah. I’m excited to cross the state off my bucket list! Right now the agenda is jam-packed with excursions including fly fishing, hiking, horseback riding, golfing, and an Oktoberfest celebration in the mountains. Prost!
What is a quote or phrase you live by?
“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
Most people think they are good writers – that anyone can do it. The truth is that almost anyone can be a good writer, but it takes a lot of practice, and there is always room for improvement. Your first draft? It should be just that – a draft. Improving your writing...
